SPX350 F4.5, ATK-16HR, Astrodon filters.

Imaged over past few months in Sculptor and Fornax. Ngc300 is one of the closest galaxies at 5m lyrs away with large HII regions but is extremely faint so colour and Ha was binned giving larger stars. NGC253 the Silver Coin galaxy is 11 m lyrs away and NGC1365 and exotic barred spiral is 65 m lyrs away. 253/300 need more subs so may try adding to next year.

300

L=20x5m

RGB=5x5m each Binx2

Ha=12x5m Binx2

253

L=24x5m

RGB=6x5m each

Ha10x10m

1365

L=2.5hrs 5m subs

R=9x5m

GB=6x5m each.

Thanks for looking.

John! Stop it!!

These don't look like amateur images at all. I felt as if I'd just opened a copy of 'Magnificent Universe' when I clicked on this thread. I'm going to go and curl up under a stone and not come out ever again...

The Ha is beautifully done and is absolutely essential to the results. Stunning.

They are amazing, almost look 3D. 253 is stunning, could look at that for ages and just get lost in all of them. Fantastic job. Should be extremely proud of them. As someone previously said, I thought I was looking in an encyclopedia.

Well thanks everyone, the S Hemisphere has some lovely big galaxies which I am discovering after a productive Aussie Winter. I had to Bin colour for NGC300 as I could hardly see it in the preview (4x4 resol'n) but it came out well but we are perfectionists always looking to improves results. NGC253 was very faint at 5min subs and would be even better after 20min subs as there is more structure there for sure. NGC1365 was very bright indeed even though it is 10x further than NGC300.

I appreciate kind comments - Thankyou.

John.
