Hello to all - my name is Alan and I’m from Cheshire

I have always had an interest in the night sky and finally took the plunge last year and bought my C8, along with the obligatory Skymaster 15x70’s,.

I’ve been loitering around this forum (and the other place) since then and have gained lots of useful info from all you people about eyepieces, filters, power tanks and all the other stuff I get a craving for.

As the nights are getting darker (In this hemisphere anyway), I’m getting the urge to buy more kit so I thought now would be a good time to join up and start asking those questions that I guess you’ve all heard before so please bear with me
