To all that have made me feel so very welcome, thankyou very much ! got so much to learn from you guys, cant wait to get stuck in !

Have had my scope for 2 weeks, been cloudy for 1 of those, suppose its something that I'll have to get used to.

Today I have bought the Collins night sky and starfinder book, seems to have a wealth of info to help me get started.

One thing I would love to see is the rings of Saturn, does anyone think this is possible with a celestron powerseeker 127eq ?

Once again, thankyou all !

Hi Lee and welcome to SGL

Saturns rings would be very visible in your scope - but you'll probably have to wait till it comes round in the south again next year. For now though train your scope on Jupiter for some great views. Enjoy the forum!
