Hi all ;)

Just bought my first telescope a skywatcher skyliner 200p dobsonian (well second my first was a rubbish little thing my dad broke before i got a chance to use it when i was 10)

thought i would join the site since you all seem like a friendly bunch.

I only managed to get out with the telescope once, after alligning the finderscope the second "star" i looked at turned out to be Saturn! :BangHead: took my breath away.

just waiting for clear skies now :(

hi from me ,and welcome to sgl as things go you will have the curse of the new scope and have cloud for weeks but what a great scope you got ya self there you will se plenty with it

Hi. Carole, The 8" Dob. is a great telescope, and will perform admirably on many Obects, Solar System, Milky Way, and Deep Sky.

Welcome to the SGL Family, you won't regret joining.
