astroeddie
At 12pm this afternoon I took delivery of my new Sky Watcher 300mmF5 Flexitube Auto Dob, One initial thought .... MASSIVENow built up and ready for the weeks of endless rain to go away. I've took lots of photos which I'll I'll sort out and post later. It took me 34 minutes to construct the Dob base. Lots of Hexagonal screws for securing the compi board together. Its mega sturdy and well constructed. Motors are already installed on both axis'. Came with 2 x 1.25" Super Plossl's 10 and 25mm. 9x50 Finder and bracket. 1.25" and 2" adaptors for R&P Focuser. A Battery pack is also included, takes 8X D batteries. I have a power pack so that's not an issue, I hope. Quick check and the collimation is way out. Guess I'll be using my laser collimator later. Apologies for the month long poor weather ahead of us. Congrats on your purchase Eddie, but I guess you have to go through the familiar ritual of "2 weeks solid rain after receiving a telescope" that happens to everyone.:-)

Next, the main scope packaging, which was solid...... Next, the base components unpacked. Next, the scope unboxed. Finally, all set up for the first time Sorry if its long winded ..... just excitment I suppose. ALSO, may I take time to thank FLO for organising my scope in such quick time from China. Another happy customer once again from FLO.
