  1. With the greatest of respect there seems to be more of a sense of Mesu users not wanting folk to try this new mount than there is of non Mesu users wanting folk to try it....
  2. Once you've determined the length you need Amazon and Ebay will be rife with them. Try and get black if you can too, may as well cut down on reflections.
  3. If you create master lights in APP then it definitely removes FITS information based on what was in the source files. What does or doesn't get removed in other stages/processes I am not sure as once I realised that I must admit I stopped using it for that as it caused me too many issues further down the line.
  4. If the mount is anything like my EQ6 the casting is "hollow" inside so if you mount it with the screw further up it will have room to move without fouling anyway.
  5. On FLO's site it says to reduce the 31.8Kg by a third for imaging so that takes you down to around 20Kg give or take. It will probably be fine with the RASA 11 BUT if it isn't you'll have no comeback at all.......
  6. If you processed with APP there is a very good chance it removed fits info for sure. I, among many, many others have asked them to maintain this info in their processed images which they say they will do at some point.
  7. Same as you I can make it work by specifying RGGB as the pattern yet use the debayer process on the files and auto works.....
  8. There's an odd file in there that doesn't seem to have been created with the asiair, wonder if that's upsetting the apple cart? Having said that it auto debayered just fine.
  9. Even if they're broken off enough that they still latch but you can't release them easily you can get them released by using a pin or something but you have to fiddle. If you're ham-fisted and have to do it in the dark well then maybe don't bother 🙂 All things being equal I probably wouldn't recommend for someone else.
  10. @ollypenrice Is the point that it's harder to stop a big, heavy "longer" scope flopping around and getting "non-round" stars so to still end up with 0.39 at 2000mm means the mount is taking the scope by the scruff of the neck and keeping it in control? Just asking that's all?
  11. Click on th light frame and then click on "Show Calibration Diagram". That should show which files are being used and where, might give us a clue.
  12. when you say flat/dark do you mean the darks for the flats as they go in the darks section. Click the screenshot button and show the calibration diagram if you want
  13. You should set fire to it now, just to be on the safe side 🙂
  14. Flat frames correct "defects" in the optical train including things like vignetting and dust. If you don't have those then you'll be fine 🙂 Just pipped by Peter
  15. Check the voltage though, in my experience the SW mounts, well at least the EQ6 variants, don't seem to like borderline 12v despite what the specs may suggest. Multiple devices may be pulling the voltage down enough to cause the funny behaviour. I have experienced the same and since moving to the FLO supply and giving 13.8V I've had no further issues.
  16. @teoria_del_big_bang I saw a post on Discord with the exact same issue and someone's workaround was and I quote "I run a CEM60 (unsupported) and have the same issue. My workaround is to open up Commander first before starting NINA, sync time with PC, and then open NINA and connect the mount. It seems to work consistently for the most part. I do get the site settings differ popup on a rare occasion, but I don't get the warning."
  17. Don't take my word for it either but a few years back when I had some flooding I had some submersible electric pumps running outside almost 24x7 for a couple of weeks and given it was for flooding it was quite damp. The pumps were fed from a reel like you're describing and I protected mine by covering it with a bucket. You'll be fine but like I say this is not IEEE advice 🙂
  18. Just out of interest which camera are you using and which drivers in NINA, ascom or native?
  19. I don't know how or why it only affects some but it "feels" to me as more of an acquisition problem. I have read about changing the USB limit, could be worth a try????
