  1. You can almost imagine it's the view Lucifer had after being thrown out of heaven.
  2. Looks really good. Picking up some really good detail.
  3. Cheers everyone, I prefer my images with stars but some nebula do look great without, not this one though. It was my first real attempt using Starnet++ to do any tweaking, separating stars and nebulosity and tweaking the colour curves separately makes things so easy.
  4. Super image, nicely processed.
  5. Lovely image Miguel, the reduction in stars really makes the nebula stand out.
  6. Very nice, a little star reduction will help the image overall.
  7. Hi all, here's my latest effort in SHO drizzled. Total integration was 27 x 600s Ha 17 x 600s Oiii 19 x 600s Sii Processed in PI. Also added a large Tiff and a starless image for those that like them. Fossil_SHO.tif
  8. Not too bad, when I did mine I ended up with about 17.5 hours of imaging in narrowband. I reckon more time is needed.
  9. With the EQ8 I would use 4 bolts, almost as easy to level as 3.
  10. Looks good, the flats seem to be over compensating.
  11. Don't do 5, you'll need to adjust the top disk to get it really level. The ideal is 3 as it's easier to level but 4 would be more stable.
  12. The holes in the disks can just be drilled, use nylock nuts as they usually stay put. As long as you leave a minimum of say 20mm around the edge they should be fine. So for a 300mm disk with 18mm holes the distance from the centre to the middle of each hole is around 120mm or less.
  13. Should be ok, You'll probably have to drill your own holes in the puck. Or maybe turn the brake disk over and see where the holes lie on the puck. Shame you're not closer to Guildford, I would be able to help with the machining.
  14. Definitely getting the outer shell now, keep going and yes, tame the core.
  15. You'll probably have to drill and tap the puck and bolt it on from underneath.
  16. Looks like some really good data you've got.
  17. Lovely image Carole, looks really clean and smooth.
  18. Maybe try 0.05, that way if it fails you have a couple of minutes more before a potential crash.
