  1. Sorry, I'm being a bit dopey this morning. Green cast is normal though.
  2. Well worth saving up for. Here a used V1. http://ensoptical.co.uk/pegasus-ultimate-power-box?search=pegasus
  3. Lovely images, green cast is normal as sensors have RGGB matrix so twice as much green shows up.
  4. I think the only difference between Alans' and Block/Gendler is very slightly more colour saturation. Nothing to worry about at all.
  5. Need a bigger box of choccies. As a note, I suppose anyone with the right laser could cut any size and variation of mask. I was thinking of getting a laser engraver/cutter for my business but just could not justify the cost.
  6. Good info there Olly, I'm imaging at 1.454"/pix and Ekos is giving me between 0.4 and 0.7 RMS in general over a whole nights run including dithering, guided. Thats a 115EDT with 0.8x reducer on AZ EQ6. I think the AZ EQ6 will handle a CT8 ok.
  7. This is the route I took, the Pegasus has a couple of bonuses in that everything plugs in directly. No dew controller box, USB Hub or focus controller to worry about.
  8. True. Dew Control offer optional prewired power supplies.
  9. Just had a thought, I think my payload is similar to yours. Also it's AZ for observing or EQ for AP, best of both worlds.
  10. Wonderful, love the colour.
  11. Very well done. Maybe longer exposures next, get a few more targets under your belt, tweak processing and play with different results. Final results are never really final, you may in the future add more data to this, use different processing software.......
  12. Try DewControl https://www.dewcontrol.com/Power_Supplies/cat3099126_4477720.aspx
  13. Get the one with the biggest payload you can afford, it will be a lot more stable than something just on the limit. I have the AZ EQ6 and it is a lump but it does the job well. You wont regret overkill on a mount.
  14. Should be able to do it all with KStars/Ekos, possibly even a remote power on/off switch.
  15. Hi Thomas, not a bad first attempt but it looks like focus was a little off. Also worth playing around with exposure and ISO, slightly under exposed seems to work well in cutting down the moon glow.
  16. There's also ASTAP (Free) for stacking on Mac and Starry Sky Stacker (£24 and uses tiff files).
  17. Great image, really like the colours.
  18. Cheers mate, non drizzled is a bit smoother in the background and I did miss the brightness tweak a little.
  19. Nice sharp stars and a lovely image. It is showing quite a magenta tone on my screen. If you're having trouble with that try inverting the image then do SCNR (green) lowered to 40% to 80%, then re-invert. One thing I like about PI is that it is so versatile.
  20. Lovely image, you've really done well balancing the light centre to the dark outer nebulosity.
  21. Great effort, probably one of the hardest targets to get right in my opinion.
