  1. Well done to you for braving the conditions, not as good as your previous image. Despite the conditions the phase is showing nicely.
  2. Nice Venus capture, that planetary alignment does look very interesting
  3. The phase is showing very nicely. The UV filter certainly opens up lots of opportunities to see something other than than the usual white phase. Seems ages since Venus attained anything like a decent altitude. I did have a go with UV filter last week end, but nothing really worth posting to be honest Neil/
  4. As i said above i saw a similar object and have seen another since i commented on this thread. Both were very likely to have been balloons of some description.
  5. Very nicely captured, A high level of detail in both those craters.
  6. A quick reprocess, thanks @neil phillips I adjusted the minimum brightness setting down to 0 to make A/S3 put alignment squares all across the image. When this was at 30, i noticed that only a small portion of the field of view was covered. The down side of doing a batch process.
  7. Thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't noticed. I will check to see what I did, I think it was 48 and multi scale.
  8. Good to finally manage a night out again, with the planets unavailable for a while it was nice to explore the Moon again. Not the best conditions with average seeing and gusty winds, but you have take what you get given! The usual set up C9.25, Asi174mm, X2 Barlow. Some nice details despite the conditions though. Vallis alpes & Plato, Aristlus, Autolycus & Archimedes, Arzachel, Purbach, Thebit & Rupes Recta, Copernicus & Stadius.
  9. +1 Asi224mc, unless of course you are willing to do RGB imaging, then i would say 290mm. There is certainly a lot of choice between the cameras available these days, i dont you would be disappointed with any of them to be honest. The 224 certainly has stood the test of time though, it is my most used cam with the C9.25, combined with a x1.8 Barlow and ADC.
  10. Just seen this heads up Stu, I was imaging some craters right when this happened and still didn't notice 🙂
  11. Very nice Neil, good to see mare Humboldtianum tipped nicely into view. Still looked pretty good last night, despite the wind
  12. it has really come alive the last week or so, great to so many Sunspots again!
  13. A Pleasure to deal with you also, even more funds in to the astro-pot. 🙂
  14. Pleasure to deal with you, some more funds in to the astro-pot 🙂
  15. Lovely photo 🙂 It is amazing how quickly after moving in to the morning sky, Venus just takes over!
  16. I complained repeatedly about the light opposite our house. It was incredibly bright, not only astronomy wise, but lighting up the bedroom. Took ages to even get a reply, then suddenly all the lights down our road were changed to LED's. These seem much better, at least they point mostly down. I do see many shield bulbs around my town though, so keep pestering them.
  17. Some nice detail visible, despite the conditions
  18. Lovely capture, a fine looking A/R right in the perfect position
  19. Pretty clear here, just didn't have a spare moment today to get a chance to look at it. Nice to see some fine images on here though
  20. Beautiful image, that giant A/R is perfectly positioned.
  21. It was a pretty tough time for any imaging opportunities, particularly from the UK. Well done everyone who managed some action, @astroavani for a stunning image of Plato and the surrounding area.
