  1. Updated sketch from today 12.45 in WL. This has elongated and is now over a notable area. Other activity was noted on the limb as well.
  2. My poor sketch from earlier of AR2781 and other areas of interest. Observed at 64x with my Vixen Refractor in White Light. ThThe The marks that look gloss have picked up the camera flash.
  3. It will be a a very patient and quiet queue Jeremy. Wait for end of lockdown, wait for travel allowed, wait for transport, wait 14 days or whatever the quarantine will be in Germany..... wait for a clear sky....oh my that last wait could be very long 😉 🤣
  4. Yep, AR2781 is now spread over a larger area, another region was noted on the limb (West) and some other activity above that as well. Clouding out again now though grrrr! A nice way to spend my lunch break though.
  5. I presently keep each eyepiece in its own bag within a padded camera bag, The caps on many eyepieces, not just Pentax are ill conceived or badly fitting. Hence why I went the padded bag route, slows me down a bit, but protects my investment well.
  6. That looks wonderful Steve, and as others have said a testament to the Rowan engineering, which is superb. As you know I have a similar itch, but for an AZ100 that needs urgent scratching as well. So pleased to see Andromeda riding again, what a wonderful scope she is.
  7. Hi Charl, Hope all is good, thanks for sharing the image. Did you look near the equator as a new region was developing yesterday?
  8. AR2781 has developed today and looks quite impressive, just noticed at 3pm, its grown a new friend at near the equator, same side as AR2781 in my refractor view. Oooo things are getting interesting on dear Sol.
  9. Wow, quite an image Vin. I took a peak yesterday and observed a lot of detail , but your image trumps my view by quite a margin, thanks for the post.
  10. I stop observing from the 4-6 Nov every year. Its like WW3 near me over those dates every year. I don't want the kit damaged or myself injured.
  11. My boss must be on here, he called about 10 minutes after I posted and asked if I was busy...... 👋 Hi Boss 😘
  12. Just grabbed a look at developing AR2781 after checking on spaceweather. Has a not able face quality about it, can anyone else see the carrot nose?? Sorry image is grabbed from the pad with my phone as rushing as meant to be working! Shhhhh, dont tell anyone.
  13. Nice one Fozzie, I too have been out trying to get ahead of the Moon, Fireworks and a bonfire up the road. Actually great session and used my Vixen HR 3.4mm too, which was great. Did a rough sketch as well. I don't sign my ones, too rough to sign.
  14. Nice report Stu, makes me realise what I missed while on a Photography club Zoom meeting. Wish I had gone out now, forecast says it will be clear tonight, but the clouds at present say otherwise, but 🤞
  15. Somehow I expect some like that will have been made at some point.
  16. That's where some of next doors lights are with me. Light up trees and a tasteful* Giraffe in the tree, they light up the whole sky North and North East for me sadly. *tasteful - as in not! This is failing to mention the 15 foot tall Elephant in the front garden or the 10 foot high 15 foot diameter water feature, that run all hours and of course is equally tastefully lit as well.
  17. Sounds a great purchase and step up in aperture. The addition of a Nexus DSC sounds a very sound move, it’s what I have done with my OOUK 250 and highly rate the upgrade, it brings the scope to life at home where I have LP issues.
  18. I find seeing in the daytime easier too Nigella and it does not involve eating Carrots either.
  19. Don’t blame the kit Barry, it’s normally the conditions for us determined UK based observers.
  20. Love seeing the Lunar X, another fun dimension to Lunar observations.
  21. @Brutie nice to see a good result, hope the changes work for your location. Just wish private lighting was as easy and amicable to resolve, stray light really is a blight on our hobby and nature herself.
  22. Nice report and glad it works so well. A paracorr is on my want list, so interesting. Having just bought a Nexus DSC for my dobson, also of interest too, is that running with a SW AZEQ6?
  23. No need to be like that John! 😂 I see this knobs line feeds you handle thing quite well.
