  1. 74 x 3 min subs / dslr / ed80 / Sunday evening skies. Small meteor or Reindeer in bottom right corner of wide image. Clear Skies Happy Holidays !
  2. Added GSO crayford to Omni xlt 102, much much needed improvement. Although windy / hazy up high, can finally micro focus on prom. Not much going on today on sun, one small wispy prom. ASI174mm-QuarkChrom-20% stacks of 2000 frames. Clear skies.
  3. So cool Neil ! Again just a great capture.
  4. Irks me when non moon imager produces great image. Mare Imbrium - details zooming in around Archimedes, Aristillus and Autolycus - well done.
  5. Not alone, had blowing snow, sun came out hour after transit. Is a terrific image, especially with the conditions you faced.
  6. Terrific, really like how you processed the second image.
  7. One of coolest solar captures I've seen, congratulations. Veterans day here in states, great reminder of brave men in woman in your services. Maybe frame / send as gift to that Typhoon squadron and pilot. Sure they would get a kick out of it.
  8. Remote wifi set up - laptop inside - stick pc outside - c11 on g11 - hyperstar - asi178mm - pc focus control. 8 sec frames f 1.9. A chilly evening kicked off great with live view of meteor under Polaris during mount alignment. Came streaking across Polemaster cam east to west. The seeing was quite awful yesterday for such a dark night FWHM 6 to 6.5. Focus was challenge but hey I was set up. Viewed vesta and took 8 sec image then came back 30 min later to get distance asteroid traveled. Below is 30 min of vesta travel. Viewed Pegasus cluster and grabbed 8 sec frames rgb. Was quite dazzling with poor seeing when I bumped up exposure. Live stacked 20 frames each channel in sharpcap. Has good number of little blue stars around was glad to see I captured some. Really like astronomik deep sky filters. Also viewed ngc 1600 and other small targets, before fogging up. Wish was better system to swap filters on hyperstar. Right now I use built in magnetic slide so have to swap filters one at a time. This is a pain because have dew shield on that snugs the usb cam cord under. So to change filters I carefully slide off dew shield, carefully slide out filter, uncrew used filter, screw in new filter, carefully replace everything, then its back inside in warmth to re-focus remote view / image again. Why most nights I mostly stick with one filter.

  10. Well done, nice images. Layer masks and brush tool in photoshop should be able to blend away that line completely.
  11. Yes 8 & 16 something about smell and noise of running projector sets atmosphere especially at parties. Have 4 vintage cams, 16 and three 8's. No batteries or charging needed..
  12. 200 stack-Sinus Iridum-c11-178mm-astronomic ds red filter. Clear skies.
  13. PST prominences Oct. 8. Clear skies !
  14. Viewed PST - Luminos 15mm - CEMAX 12mm. Few large proms this morning, two were separated by good distance yet connected near their peaks. Looked like goal posts. Would've made for neat image unfortunately clouds rolled in.
  15. My issue is nocturnal animals, sneak right up to give me a jolt. Had no idea this hobby would bring them in that close.
  16. Terrific capture, interesting the scale looks correct if reversed in your image. Jupiter as earths moon and our moon as Jupiter.
  17. Lucky imaging setup happy area51m arrived. Dual power cords for amp boost when in need.
  18. Nothing terribly exciting, sun was out for quick capture. Prom in shape of chili pepper.
  19. Worth zooming in and viewing thanks. Read was once speculated to be small herds of lifeforms roaming around crater Eratosthenes due to funky shadows.
  20. Terrific images, really like prom ring highlight surrounded in black.
