I prefer to buy optics from certain countries and not others, if possible. I appreciate it that TV EPs are manufactured in USA or Taiwan.

They are normally quick but check they are not closed for the holidays. They are a small company and tend to close up especially in the Summer. But they say when on their website

I don’t know that scope but I have several Neewer bags (from Amazon) for some of my refractors But I’d still go with Oklop if they have the right size.

No, I was using my Leica Zoom in 2-inch mode. The motion is quite smooth, but you are right: avoiding rotation might have been a factor

Not sure what the angst over retaining screws is about. Tak uses them on quite a few accessories, like the extenders. When the accessory is well engineered to tight tolerances, they work well. Whilst I use the Baaader clicklock system a lot, it’s pretty ugly and last night one of mine seized while holding an EP as I commented on another thread.

Well I’ve experienced the dreaded Baader Clicklock seizure for the first time this evening. Really put a spanner in the works. I was eventually able to release it after taking the Baader BBHS + itsstuck eyepiece in the seized clicklock inside. I must say it’s knocked my confidence in the clicklock. At least I was at home so was able to work on it inside under proper lighting.

Observing Jupiter with the Mewlon but seeing is very poor
