  1. Thats exactly what I got the other morning - fuzzy blob with ears.
  2. I have both. I have used the x2.5 with not bad results. I think I have managed the x5 about twice in the 10 years I have had it. Good luck!
  3. So would you if I ran off with your lunch.
  4. Regarding the meridian flip, if you have cone error the scope will not point in the same spot in the sky after the flip, but you are still polar aligned.I think thats why you do the 3rd goto alinment star on the other side of the mount so it can try to copenstae for that cone error. My NJP tripod does not have any levelers and the polar scope on that is great (in fact on it's first trip to Keilder I had to put concrete flag under the north leg as the mount would not go high enough - now machined to fix) its pier was checked with a level to be vertical but I did not bother to check the top for level.
  5. I think there is some confusion between PA and cone error.
  6. Almost certainly a power issue I would say.
  7. Thanks Felix. Times are UT so 13°
  8. WO 132 ZWO 178MC ADC x 2.5 P/M
  9. Good to hear, I have just got the Syn scan for my GPDX as the motors/cables/connectors have been playing up for a while. I hope my fitting goes as well. I might get it fitted tomorrow as long as I am not called to get the sewing machine to do its job properly - again, today I learnt the shortcut for " Oh dear the needle has broken again"
  10. Thank you for doing this . i will give it a try but in PS mode.
  11. Is there a workflow to get it working you would share?
  12. Wish i could get it to work on a regular basis. I keep going back to it and occasionally get it to work.
  13. I think in "View" if you "subtract main image from reference image" then save that image is the star layer.
  14. I don't think I tried unguided. I have issues with my SS2K and I think it is a break in the wire. One day I will sort it out.
  15. Yes I have used one. It guided very well via ST4 connection and various guide cams. I did have to fettle the backlash on the dec and in the end settled on guiding in Dec in one dirrection most of the time.
  16. I did mine with a meter a good few years ago I will have to borow it again and redo it now we have the LED lights Date/Time: 2015-10-14 02:26:00 SQM: 19.88 Device: SQM-L (lens)
