  1. Try letting Eqmod search for the com port itself
  2. This is about the closest I will get to the date.
  3. My thoughts a ) Seeing was not good here tonight -C11 no powermate b) What gain was you using - I tend to use 70% ish on the planets and a low gain on sun and moon c) it got a bit chilly for shorts and t shirt
  4. A tin of gloss and a paintbrush interferred with my attempt, sorry for the swearing. Now set up and focused just waiting r seing to settle (I hope) Haze coming back in Moon is going yellow again.
  5. I pulled the ADC from the chain last night as well as I just did the IR, also I had lost jove by the time I had stopped fiddling with the kit.
  6. I had almost given up on the planets this time round but maybe I spoke too soon, a bit of decent seeing and things improve. Or maybe forget the colour cam and go for IR filters is the way to go. I have more data to prod and poke but am in need of sleep. 200mm SCT x2.5 powermate IR642 filter Chameleon mono cam.
  7. I know how you feel, it seems a dead loss at the moment. I have banished the C11 back to the cupboard -again.
  8. Very good for this year I would say. Yes I was out but I am still prodding and poking the stacks.
  9. A gentle waft of the hair dryer on the dew collector certainly upset the seeing 😀
  10. thanks folks. i will try the other ser files when i hand done clearing out the garage which was brought by another thread on SGL
  11. Nice prom image. Just proves that it is vital we all take care when imaging the sun.
  12. Just had a drop of 2 of rain that is not supposed to happen.
  13. Nice see some CaK imaging again.
  14. 60mm Lunt coronado D\S Chameleon cam 151 frames of 1000 Do the clicky thing for full res
  15. 200mm SCT and ZWO178 cam with ADC
  16. If you get stuck give me a shout. Only prob with this method is you loose the spicules ther must be a way to sort it out
  17. Oh i did get a few hours in 🛌
  18. 3am 😯 thats early i looked up and noticed i was 5-30 am. A bit like a winter imaging sess. I should have stopped up and got the sol kit out.
  19. I collect 2 sets of data one for the disc and up the gan to get the proms. I stack in AS3. The disc is sharpened in imppg . Then into PS Open your best disc and a close in time prom image I do any cosmetics like clone stamp to remove any dust bunnies, stretching and final sharpening of the disc Also I usually drop the gamma a using image—adjustments- exposure to about 0.85 ish To the prom image I do a stretch in levels to bring up the proms (if need be ) and drop the black point to get a good background Back to the surface disc using the magic wand tool click the background (with a tolerance of between 20 and 50 in my case) this should give the “marching ants” round the edge but crop the proms if any are showing) select – inverse select-modiy-smooth (I use 10 but yours will vary) select- modify-contract (I use 2 to bring the ants just onto the disc) copy and paste onto the prom disc (ctrl C thenC trl V) use the move tool on the cropped surface disc to align with the prom image disc then use edit –free transform to resize the surce disc to fit the prom disc (I usually do it at “fit to screen” then zoom in to tidy it up)when happy with that click the “tick” in tool bar just above the image flatten the layer and crop to tidy the edges and centre you image save as a mono image –mode- RGB I then use a saved curve to colour the image
  20. After i finished imaging staurn this morning I put an eyethingy in the end of the scope (but don't ell anybody) and had red fringe and blue fringe and thought you idiot use the ADC it is set for imaging and lo and behold the fringing vanished as if by magic even with x285
  21. I will write it out later today if I get my jobs done.
  22. Great capture Charl. I missed it, maybe I should have gone to bed earlier istead of processing jove while silly o'clock.
  23. Escorted jupiter into e garage and now doing samefor saturn. Damper than last couple of outings but seeing vastly improved.
