  2. Thanks Dave it was an intermittent session this afters that was ended with "are we going shopping or what?" Yes I'm out tonight as it has sort of cleared eventually and I'm back on the madness called sh2 129. I was going to have a crack at a bit of luna but now i cannot be bothered to haul 132 & PC out there.

  5. I seem to remember seeing one while driving into the setting sun in the early 80's I have also seen a couple since through baader filters but without a scope.

  8. Thanks all yes it is madness. On the image hosting site last year i said I would get an 1/2 decent image even if it took me years and yes it is going to take me a good while yet till I am satisfied.
  9. Ha /O3 very much work in progress. I gave up prodding and poking it as I was making it worse, I am certain that there is more to be had out of this data. so far over 250,000 seconds in data. I must be stark staring bonkers ( but we all knew that)
  10. Flying bat. And so it begins , the madness called the squid is in there. Starting this years data collection. 6 hours so far in 1800s chunks with the TS71 imaging star. Clicky time for full res
  11. Both ISS transits did have a few clouds and approx 90mins later with more clouds which you tube will not load for some reason. And stacks from a cloud free spell Click for full res
  12. You should be able to get a decent image with the C8 Leave the x5 in the box at the moment. Check collimation. Planets are very testing at the moment as they are so low down.

  14. I would say its the altitude. And the seeing has been mainly awful this year. Try auto colour balance in Registax.

  20. and at the moment if the seeing is rubbish its best guess in the "best looking"range
