  1. Cheers Neil you make some good points about the conditions & the effects on capture, also heat from house roofs especially in hot weather when planets are at low alt can be a problem too!
  2. Cheers Peter hope the conditions improve for you soon. Thanks martyn just a couple out of 20 or so runs worth giving my time to lol! Heres an ir run from last night!
  3. Images taken in mixed seeing last night. Taken with a c9.25 & skyris 236m - 1.5x meade barlow Thanks for looking!
  4. A quality set of images Neil, dont think that Saturn can be beaten uk seeing wise this apparition, regarding last night mixed seeing here in the midlands again with low trans although clear skys managed a few half decent runs so will post results!
  5. Cheers Neil Saturn again fairing good in the red ch but think the g & b are weak because of the low elevation. Thanks Martyn yes the red on Jupiter does seem weak? Cheers Angie much appreciated.
  6. Great little capture razor sharp too!
  7. Not the best of conditions last night but managed Jupiter in ir, Saturn was more stable & at times looked the best ive seen it in the red ch for a long time but the green & blue let it down so decided only to post the red ch image! Thanks for looking!
  8. Its come together very nicely Mart, the seeing seemed better on Saturn but Jupiter suffered im sure thin cloud was to blame!
  9. A fine effort Angie not easy in these conditions very annoying, the clouds have not lifted here in the east mids still waiting for a break! 🙄
  10. Super captures Neil, very tidy Saturn shot too, still blankets of cloud this end hope it will clear soon!
  11. Nice smooth detailed capture there Craig!
  12. A great set of wide field captures of the jovian moons, love the first two shots of the shadow on the limb ( very well presented too ).
  13. They are very nice you pulled out a lot more detail than i did that evening looks like you were delt with similar conditions too!
  14. Thanks Angie & Martyn cloud set in over most of the uk for the next few days we must take our chances when we can!
  15. I prefer to use ir on its own personally as in combination with rgb tends to produce a false colour image, but this is my own opinion, great detail can be obtained using ir as a lum!
  16. Thanks Peter, its happened a few times to me brightness is increased on uploading images, not sure why?
  17. Well caught, i like the wide field shots showing the moons.
  18. Hi Neil conditions here really poor of late, cloud & jetstream tubulence effecting any results especially Jupiter.
  19. Thanks Craig ive had many superb red channels over the years only to be let down by the G & B thats the way it goes sometimes, but at this elevation its to be expected!
  20. Cheers Tom , looks ok on my monitor but sometimes alters when uploading! Have reduced the exposure slightly see what you think!
  21. Very respectable Captures Angie top shot showing great detail around the grs, Nicely done!
  22. Best of the evenings work in somewhat variable conditions mainly low cloud was the problem, in spite of that Saturn looked very clear & steady at times but very weak blue ch indeed so did not bother with rgb to be honest, the Jupiter shot is in ir & the Saturn is red channel.
