  1. Just going through my avis from the 8th, you will notice how the seeing picked up as Jupiter gained elevation in the images which have all been processed exactly the same as accurately as i could!
  2. Superb capture Neil, some detail showing on ganymede too, i love multiple transit shots but never have always been lucky enough to catch them, again great stuff well done! Btw what pane (roi) was you using as a capture window!
  3. Well thanks Neil i appreciate that coming from you, your the one the got me into the soft processing remember many years ago,im all for trying different processing techniques but always seem to to go back to my preferred system less is more, maybe not to everyones taste. Often wonder what Jupiter would really look like if close smooth or harsh if you get that.😉
  4. Thanks Kon appreciated. Cheers glafnazur. Yes stuy there indeed from the uk although would much prefer imaging from more tropical locations!
  5. Some nice steady seeing on Jupiter this morning, with lots of good detail coming through. C9 skyris 236m 1.5x meade barlow images actual scale!

  10. Thanks Neil, seems like a stupid time to have a bonfire to me but hey thats life sometimes, Martyn had a bbq going of with one of his neighbours too, its annoying i know but it looks more settled for next week so we may have some more opportunities bonfires & bbqs permitting!
  11. Clear sky this morning with average seeing conditions, this is probably the best of the runs on Jupiter catching the shadow of Europa just out of shot! C9 - skyris 236m 1.5 x barlow at real capture size!
  12. Very nice tidy Saturn there Martyn & very well processed too!
  13. Superb achro shot Neil, the detail & colour look great, no chromatic aberration that i can see either well done indeed! As you know i have the older version of the very same scope & just shows in the right hands what is a achievable from a budget frac!
  14. Thanks Chris - Martyn - Skyhog - & GordonD much appreciated!
  15. looking like theres some nice detail coming through, maybe a slight upscale might help reveal even more!
  16. Nicely done Neil love the time shift from dark to light!
  17. Thanks everyone for the positive remarks!
  18. Another image from the morning of the 27th. C9 - skyris - 236m - 1.5 x barlow at actual capture size! Thanks for looking.
  19. Thanks John, Mars looks like a pea on capture very difficult to get any focus point at the moment!
  20. Hi Neil yes i was amazed how high its getting just before dawn, i must have caught it around 35 degs or so, i think its going to top out around 38 here correct me if im wrong also the jetstream seems out of the way at the moment Jupiter was as steady have ive seen in a long time showing good detail at times too!
  21. Cheers Martyn, i nearly gave in parked the scope & contemplated an early night (morning) but noticed a good window of opportunity between the cloud as Jupiter climbed!
  22. I was contemplating packing up this morning as cloud cover was an issue but glad i waited because when it cleared Jupiter was as good as ive seen it in a long time! Heres a selection from this morning including a quicky at Mars! Taken with a C9 skyris 236m camera with 1.5x amplification - Jupiter upscale 10% Mars 200% Images taken are RRGB unless marked RGB thanks for looking!
