Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Not sure I am up for pulling it to bits to try and fix it but I guess I don't have much to loose Fan comes on ok, difficult to tell if it's booting as HD is very quiet. I put the old HD back in but made no difference.

depending on the model some are easy to disassemble and some are a real pain, but as you say you have nothing to lose, id trace the feeder wires what go to the screen if its undun somewhere it will also stop you vid out connection as they are on the same loop, you could look on you tube to see if anybody else has the same problem and it could give you a insight how to disassemble. charl.
