I had never seen the aurorae before but I will not be able to say that again....WOW
-
Same view naked eye as shown by PaulM in his latest image but in monochrome. Arcs from the East are interlocking overhead with those from the East. Photos don't do justice to the enormous scale. Hints of pink now. 🙂

It's dazzling the allsky camera. Too bright!
-
It's all over the sky!!! And I'm bortle 7!
-
Sort of bands of subtle pink and occasional greenish right across the sky here. They change all the time, sometimes stronger, sometimes fading away. My other half has confirmed what I'm seeing. Nice to see this together 😄
-
the sky is on fire. Everybody outside right now!

Varavall started following Aurorae likely tonight!!
-
It's visible here in southern Catalonia Nikon D610 with 17-35mm @ 17mm, f2.8, ISO 6400, 15s. 3 images stacked

Bagged some new doubles tonight in VV Corvi, Pi1 Bootis and Xi Bootis. Spent a while on Zeta Bootis before realising it was a 0.1” separation 😅. Two more for the messier list in M53 and M3, the latter looking stunning despite the sub optimal conditions. Great resolution in the 8” dob, single stars visible on the edge and towards the core, can’t beat a good glob! The dreaded milkiness seems to have descended over my skies so that might be the end of the fun though.

Man it's visibly getting brighter by the second...
-
Overhead red corona. Bright naked eye
-
Very obvious from here in W Yorks. Faint rays of silver grey with the naked eye. Quite extensive and visible overhead with averted vision, no other colour noted. 🙂
-
Look directly up right now!!!

Stu started following Aurorae likely tonight!!

Nothing visually here, but pointing the phone up and taking 3s exposures shows a lot of pink and hints of green… I’m staying on the edge of Exmoor tomorrow night so would be great if this continues!
