Many decades of photography background. Not so much with a telescope. Just picked up a Celestron NexStar Evolution 8. Not looking to do photography at this point (sold all of my gear) just going to play around and do some viewing. We shall see how long it takes me to get bored with that though.

Yep, I have a secret location that even on a New Moon night the sky is so clear and full of stars it's still kind of bright. Taking a trip up to Mt Lemmon just outside of Tuscon to hang out with the stars, do some long exposure imagine (camera, not telescope) and give the new hardware an initial run through.
