Greeting programs

My name is John and I am from Kingston Upon Hull. I've been insterested in Astronomy since I was a kid but could never afford a telescope....until now.

I'm an absolute novice so reading this forum has been an absolute god-send. I also enjoying photography so I will be tinkering with my DSLR and webcam/phone, anything I can get my hands on really!

I've placed an order for a new 8" Reflector and am looking forward to some clear and sleepless nights ahead.

H and welcome to the forum.

Steve Richards' "Making Every Photon Count" (FLO £19.95) is a comprehensive guide to what you need to get started. It help you understand what you're letting yourself in for as they don't call it the "darkside" for nothing!:):D:D

Thanks for the warm welcome peeps. Had a call today letting me know my scope will take a little more time than expected due to demand lately. I decided to get an spc900 to cheer me up as it seems a popular model for imaging.

I cannot wait to get out there :-)
