Hi all

Decided to join you all, and say hi.

I've always been interested in science and the natural world and love photography. I also am constantly amazed by the night sky and I've been fortunate to view it in some fantastic places with no light pollution.

I've decided its about time to develop this hobby further and am thinking about buying a telescope as I've wanted one for years!

Hi folks

We're right on the south eastern edge of the city so its not too bad. Not great, but it could be worse.

Was thinking of heading up through Leek some time to see how it looks around there and up over the roaches towards Buxton.

Hi Marko and welcome to the forum.

No harm in doing a little research to find out what will be the best scope for you budget and expectations. If astrophotography is your goal then a quick question over on the imaging section might help you steer towards gear that will help you obtain better results - not all kit is suited to this activity.
