Comet Hartley animation

Taken through an ed80 with a canon 1000D. 14 images consisting of 3 x 1.5 minutes unguided. Animation dome in ps. All went well once I could find the damn thing !!Trevor

Thanks for the nice comments. From memeory I don't think you can do animation in elements John . Perhaps some of other software like gimp thats available can do it . Does anyone know to help John ? Regards , Trevor

Microsoft movie maker, or the demo version of Maxim DL will do animations from the FITS files (Maxim) as well, the latter for 30 days

Microsoft movie maker, or the demo version of Maxim DL will do animations from the FITS files (Maxim) as well, the latter for 30 days

If you want to convert the AVI to an animated GIF, this can be done using Microsoft GIF Animator, which is freely available from various places. Very basic functionality but does the job. It will take stills or an AVI as an input.

Below is my effort from last week using the Maxim -> GIF Animator route (20*2mins cropped subs using IKI 70ED & QHY8)
