A 'Hello' from Lancashire

Polar Bear

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks

just decided to get a scope a few weeks ago after using binoculars and many years reading on the subject. My location is terrible (middle of town, neighbours floodlights etc) but planetary viewing is fine and just like Sir Patrick I can stare at the moon for hours. I would like to get into serious Sun viewing and currently I am deciding what equipment to get. Hope I can pass on the limited knowledge I have.

And if not that at least amuse a few of you.

cheers Paul

Hello from Cumbria.

I have recently got into Solar Viewing, I bought a small Celestron

60mm Refractor and a tough Mylar based Astro-Solar film by Baader, combined with my NexImage CCD camera or my Nikon camera (digiscope method) I am hoping to get some images.

I will be keeping a small blog at:Ray's Astro-Photography Site

Hope to see some of your images and experiences soon.

Kind Regards

RayGil
