Clear weekend

The BBC weatherman has just given out a clear weekend starting from Friday morning so fingers crossed.

Latest forecast shows clear over most of England and Wales this weekend, but expected to rain for most of the weekend in Scotland and NI.

Ah clear blue skys in East Central Scotland - so far so good and the Met Office is showing clear skies for Fri & Sat night in my area!! Mmm don't want to anger the cloud gods but I think I might start checking some website's for interesting targets. If everyone can make sure they DON'T buy any astro gear for the next 48hrs I think we may have a good weekend!!

Oh dear - I'm waiting for my OIII filter to be delivered - hope I haven't jinxed it! Would be great to be able to try it out....but maybe it won't come till Monday so the skies will be clear till then....

Met Office, althiugh their "forecast" has changed since I posted (what a surprise!) but are still saying clear on Saturday night... I dont believe a word of it, and just watch the satellite images rolling in every 15 minutes on sat24.com

Was very overcast and raining in the south east this morning - so I took myself off to Stanwell Moor and ticked the Brown Shrike there, as compensation.

Seems to be clearing slightly here though, so fingers crossed!
