Hi Guys, Elac's next meeting is Sat February 17th 19.30 (doors open @ 19.00) We meet at Scamblesby Village Hall, South St, Scamblesby, Louth, Lincs LN11 9XF February's guest speaker is the local and very well known Paul Money FRAS, FBIS. Tonight's talk is entitled Triumphs of voyager. Members Free. Guests £3 each or £5 family ticket. Paul's talks are usually busy so we advise you arrive early. If clear after the event we will move to our dark sky observing site @ Badger Farm (a couple of miles away) for some practical observing, most of our members have telescopes and are happy to let the general public view the heavens. All very welcome. Hope to see you there..

The East Lincolnshire Astronomy Club next meets on Saturday Oct 10th, This month we hope (weather permitting) to have an practical observing session at badger farm Asterby Lincs we meet at 7pm at the top of the site but if cloudy go to the meeting room at the bottom of the site, please note this is a very dark site so don't forget your red torch.. more info at www.lincsastro.co.uk
  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE Saturday's ELAC meeting on the 19th September will be at SCAMBLESBY VILLAGE HALL, South St. Scamlesby, Louth, LN12 9XF where Paul Money will be the guest speaker. Parking is in front of the school on Old Main Road and the village hall is just round the corner on South Street. I'm sorry for the short notice but the Barn is unavailable. I think this will be a more comfortable venue and only a short drive to Badger Farm for observing afterwards if clear. Thank you

  6. We are happy to announce the East Lincolnshire Astronomy Club has joined the federation of astronomical societies, we look froward to being an active member of FAS. Camp Persied 2015 will be held at the Manor Farm Campsite Anderby Lincolnshire from August 11th -15th We have an allocated area of the site reserved for our members and guests the site owners have also agreed to turn the site lights off and given us use of the surrounding land so we can observe the persied meteor shower. The event is open to everyone you don't have to camp your very welcome to attend for the evening, please see our website www.linscastro.co.uk for more information and booking. Hello, our next meeting will be on Saturday January 4th from around 7pm at Bader Farm campsite nr Asterby Lincolnshire, We welcome everyone with an interest in the night sky to join us for an evening under the stars at our wonderful dark site location in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Meeting cost is £3 per person or £5 couples. Hope to see you there.
  9. This Saturday (7th dec 2013) will be the last ELAC meeting of 2013, as normal we meet at Badger Farm campsite nr Asterby in the Lincolnshire Wolds from around 7pm. If clear look for the telescopes set up in the camping field if cloudy we will be in the clubroom located at the bottom of the camping field. Our meetings are open to everyone with an interest in the night sky, meeting fee's are £3 per person or £5 per couple.   12. Our next meeting will be on February 9th 2013 @ the Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve, Nr Skegness, Lincolnshire. All are very welcome to attend, we meet in the visitor centre car park, please note a £1 parking fee applies to be paid at the on site meters.   13. We have a lean to type conservatory that i have just cleaned out and changed into a warm room, the door opens out onto the back garden where i set up the scope, I have a little stereo in there to play a few chill out tunes while I'm outside, just need a red light now, ahh bliss
