8th April Jupiter

Hi all,

I have just joined this forum, I live at Port Lincoln South Australia. Here is an image of Jupiter I captured on the 8th of April U.T., with my 14" LX200 and DFK21af04 camera and 2x barlow.

This is the best image I have recorded of Jupiter from my new home location.

I have been imaging with this camera for 3 years and haven't had as good a conditions as I have experienced in the last 2 months before. The answer for the good conditions was to move next to the sea and away from ground turbulance, eg. hills and valleys.

Also I cool the primary mirror on the SCT to ambient to minimise any internal heat layers over the mirror.
