  3. Awesome star trails Peter:) That might make a cool little animation too. All the best Jamie
  4. Thanks for the comments JonH and MickyWay! MickyWay thanks for the info. I've been reading and watching loads of reviews about it on Youtube and it looks like an awesome camera, my video camera is really old now so being able to film in HD would be great too. I'll only be getting the body, its going for around £560 on Ebay and £600 in Parkcameras. For the price range and for what it offers I haven't seen anything as good.
  5. Hey everyone, I haven't posted anything in a while now, I was using my C80ED on a Nexstar 114 GT but I just can't get it balanced right anymore. My camera is a Canon 1000D with 18-55 and 55-250 lenses, I'm seriously thinking about getting a 550D this week and would love a little EQ1 tabletop mount for doing some longish exposure widefields too. Here are some widefields I've taken over the months. Moon through the trees The rising Moon Moon and Venus Noctilucent clouds from 9th July And a noisy Comet Mcnaught All the best Jamie
  6. Awesome animation Melsky, the comet sure is moving fast
  7. Fantastic pictures Andrew, an awesome double rainbow All the best Jamie
  8. Hey everyone This was made using pictures taken on 3 nights using my 1000D on a tripod. I took around 100 2.5 sec subs each night and stacked them in DSS, sorted them out in GIMP 2 but had to then export the 3 stacked pictures into Windows Movie Maker as I couldn't save as a gif file. Its not a very good animation at all and on the second frame there appears to be 2 objects, its not like that in the single subs so maybe its an effect from stacking, but you can at least see the Asteroid moving. Animations :: 4 Vesta - Asteroid video by JamieCW1 - Photobucket All the best Jamie
  9. Hey everyone I am trying to make an animation in GIMP but it won't let me save it as a gif file, I have tried everything and I just can't do it! If anyone has any ideas what I could do to save it as a gif please could you help me! Thanks for the help! All the best Jamie

  12. Hey everyone A picture of the Partial Lunar Eclipse taken through my C80ED and the Moon and Mars conjunction picture was taken from a graveyard, I was hoping to get some pictures with the Church in but I was too early and would have had to wait an hour or 2 for them to move into a good position, but it was far too cold to wait! Managed to get Orion in there too.
