A few galaxies from Sunday night

You never know when the next clear night's going to be, so thought I'd grab a few just in case!

Box, Whale and Sunflower galaxies (no obvious connection!) taken with the LX90/EQ6 & MX716 camera.

Cheers,

Rich.

That is what I call a very profitable nights work. Those are splendid, all three of them. It just great to see the weather has relented somewhat, and Images are starting to come in a bit more now.

Excellent trio of galaxies, a nice piece of work there! The Whale especially. The first one (Caldwell 21 = NGC 4449 - I had to look it up) is a new one to me, I doubt if it's been imaged or posted on the forum before. Thanks for that, I like these other-than-mainstream targets...

Thanks for all your comments. Thought I'd try out some of Patrick Moore's favourites from the Caldwell list!

Exposures at f6.3 were:

ngc4449 (L 45min; R,G&B 8min binned)

ngc4631 (L 42min; R,G&B 6min binned)

m63 (l 42min, no colour , ran out of time!)
