  1. From a trip down to outside Kelso. Two great clear nights.
  2. Taken at the last Galloway SP ( Nov 2012 ). Shows the quality of the skies there when no clouds and dark skies.
  3. There is a wee rumour that two muppets might also be attending ! Wonder who.
  4. Just want to add my own congrats to you Robbie, couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke . Wishing you every success in your new appointment. Pete

  6. Just want to add my own Thanks to all there. As usual t'was a great event. They seem to improve each time ! Good seeing auld freens and meeting some new ones. Special thanks to Robbie for the loan of the EQ cable, muppet here brought the EQ5 one ( least I remembered the counter weight bar this time ! ) Some nice Malts brought along ( purely medicinal to avert depression with weather Thurs/Fri cloudy nights mind you ! ). That said , we did get the odd break and saw great views. Saturday was absolutely spectacular !!! As said , seeing MW majestically stretching across both horizons was a sight to behold. Thanks Steve for keeping this going and thanks to Lesley and Hubbie for an awesome camp site. Big thanks to all who attended, you guys made it enjoyable for all. Pete

  12. Cheers Ewan, EOS 600D ( need update sig ) , 18-55 kit lens , 30 secs at ISO 3200, f3.5 ( wow, no wonder orange central ) . First time out with the 600D doing WF, settings are mince , lol. Time for a lens upgrade as well methinks. Oh, the larger trail is a sateliite btw. With me being further north, its still a bit more lighter up here ( [removed word] , roll on Dark Season proper ). Looking forward to seeing the finished mosaic mate. Clear Skies Pete
  13. Low cloud conspired against us at Loudenhill. Meet up with fellow CSOG'ers. Saw three or four really nice ones, camera shutter ( as per the norm ) was shut , lol. Only managed the one shot. Processed to hell and back because of LP glow.
  14. Great images as usual Stewart, we were thwarted by low passing cloud but managed to capture a small one, lovin that MW shot, belter. Pete
  15. Finger oot and booked for all nights. Might need help on how ya use an actual scope tbh, been that long David is hoping to get along as well, I recommend somne ear plus , hehe. Looking forward to seein you all. Just dinny mention rugby tae Steve. Pete
  16. Jings crivens an help ma boab, need to book this , I almost forgot. Pete
  17. No modding, just good old pvc electrical tape. I checked before I attached the extension tube that the camera got focus, it did . Since then its been cloudy every night since doing it ! Have seen on other threads, picked up stars so not expecting any problems with seeing Pole star, fingers crossed. Once I get a clear night I shall post an image up. Pete
  18. 13 miles East of Glasgow , its been wall to wall for the same amount of time. I had three nights in Jan'. Pete
  19. Completed the Xbox Live Cam Mod for the Polar Scope. Using a 50mm extension tube, with compression ring, I attached with black tape, to allow it to slide over the Polar Scope on my EQ6. Finished job after a few minutes. Easiest mod ever ! It's very Heath Robinson but it works, I always prefer function over form anyways! Clear Skies Pete
