It was freezing and unfortunately barely worth it!

Up very early today, as it is probably going to be the only opportunity this week. Somehow managed to drag myself outside into the Bedfordshire tundra!

Jupiter had just peaked over the rooftops by 05:30, but the seeing was awful. I could barley make out an equatorial belt!

The GRS is there just about visible, but hardly worth the effort. Asi224mc, C9.25.

Venus was up by around 06:30, the seeing was no better. I tried the UV filter, but it isn't worth posting the results.

The Astronomik 807 filter helped enormously and certainly yielded a nice looking phase.

Due to the frost I decided  to allow the scope to thaw out and then dry outside. it looked like the dew shield was on fire for a while! Despite the conditions it was lovely to be out again!
