A Nice Surprise

On the second Saturday of every month I usually go to the Cotswold Astronomical Society meeting unless the skies are looking good, then an observing session takes precedent. It looked like it was going to be a clear night Saturday, as the afternoon was clear, but around 7 ish it was looking a bit suspect and the weather was possibly going to be misty later. So off to the CAS meeting I went where we had a great talk on Supernovae by Owen Brazell the Deep Sky Coordinator for the BAA. The icing on the cake for the evening was that I was awarded the Dan Turton Award for Best Astrophotography for the society. :D
