thanks guys , heres the ones I remember, I can only think of 11 now must be because its late eh

zuchius bettinus kircher "the triple"
schiller
mare humorm
schickard
tycho
gassendi
kepler
copernicus
mare insuiarum

dont think ive spelt them all right, if I remember the other 2 ill update, I don't think I could name 20 craters or seas on the whole moon, but if someone says the name its a different story, just need something to spark my memory, charl

I thought I had 2 , Tycho and Tycho, but I was mistaken, one of those turned out to be Copernicus !

I am thick, I should have got Gassendi as well, cos I love it and spent some time on it a while back, but too many craters- not enough brain cells ! :(

Nice pics Charl.

Great set of images charl, you've caught some of the lunar highlights there. I was out a few nights back and was fortunate enough to catch Schickard right on the terminator, a gorgeous sight.

Naming features, I managed a round dozen. Good job we have VMA. :hello2:

thanks Silverastro , na your not thick mate, just like me, I had a few hours while processing to think about them it took me a hour to figer out the names of zuchius bettinus kircher and another hour to get them in the right order, Gassendi and Copernicus where the first I remembered but the latter is my fav crater. clear skys, charl.

thanks Alan, I think its the best pic of Schickard ive ever got, I didn't think the pics would of turned out so good with it still being quite light when shooting the southern most craters, there quite noisy but don't look bad if not zoomed in. glad you had a good session, you got 1 morethan me , I did have 14 when I first posted but qwickly forgot 3 of them and the more I try to remember them the farther thay drift away. clear skys, charl.

thanks Steve, you will soon pick a few up and promply forget them like me, when i was a uni in the 80s i could easy rattle 40 or more off, now if you name a crater and if it was a large one id know it,its just remembering the names its like carrying water in a sive. clear skys ,charl.
