  1. You can see my existing kit list on my signature below and all are great scopes but my Explorer 150P and EQ3-2 mount are getting too heavy for me to lug up and downstairs and that is the mount that I use for the WO Zenithstar. Looking to sell my three scopes and to buy one general purpose scope with a goto mount, suitable for planetary/lunar imaging. Open to any advice on what to go for, but thought about the Celestron Nexstar SE 6 or similar. Thanks in advance
  2. Incredible detail, thanks for sharing!
  3. Not sure if I am on the correct page or not, please point me in the right direction if not and accept my apologies. I am looking at selling my three telescopes and consolidating to one. I have a Zenithstar 80 II ED APO telescope, a Skywatcher 150P and a Skywatcher Mak 102. All are pretty much in pristine condition but have no clue as to what they are worth and I cannot remember what I paid for them when I bought them. The Mak 102 his used most, the others have not been out for a few years. Hoping for a bit of advice as to how much they are worth and would welcome any input. Thanking you in advance.
  4. Beautiful images John, just back after a long lat-off and itching to get going again. Inspiration indeed!
  5. What a stunning set of images, I have been away from lunar photography for about 20 months now and am itching to get going again. I was getting to the stage where I was turning out decent images (nothing near your standard), but I fear it will be like starting from scratch again! looking forward to it though and your images have inspired be to get going! Thanks for sharing.
  6. What a lovely shot John, excellent detail and pin sharp as always.
  7. Lovely shot Michael, great contrast, detail and colour.
  8. Nice image Jules, lovely detail and smooth. This is my first post since the light nights of spring, the autumn here was terrible with hardly a clear night. Time to start learning all over again! Clear Skies Steve
  9. Lovely shots as always John, I am out of commission recovering from surgery and very frustrated to have missed so much clear sky!
  10. Nice set of shots, out of commission myself at the minute recovering from surgery. So frustrating to have missed so much clear skies!
  11. Nice as always John, not had a glimpse of the moon for a while now due to the constant cloud. Forecast for this evening is better, fingers crossed!
  12. Cracking image Michael, really nice detail, seeing what your ASI224 can do makes me itching to get going with mine, albeit with a 150mm Explorer.
  13. I was revisiting this file and noticed that the video was in colour as I must have forgotten to check the Debayer option. Why can I not get the final picture in colour then?
  14. What a lovely image, pity about the small gap. Must be annoying!
  15. It's only my second go with the ASI224MC and Firecapture so I am happy with it. Need to work on my focus (must get a Bahtinov mask) and capture more frames, not to mention play about with the settings and one final requirement...... More clear skies!!!!
  16. Steve, I was going to give it a go to see if I have any more luck with it and when I pressed start record, it completely froze! I will try again and se how I get on with it!
  17. Managed to salvage this from last nights disaster, SW150P & ASI224MC, 350 of 648 frames stacked using PIPP> AS!2> Registax & Photoshop. Seeing was not great at all but considering the problems I was having with Firecapture, I am fairly happy with it. Long way to go yet though!
  18. A cracking image once again Avani, like the write up too!
