Not much to say except this is the first time i have managed to get the four trapezium stars.... just about, so i'm a very happy chappy.

Next time this is getting 10hrs instead of 1hr.

Thanks Paddy, this always happens, i don't think my old eyes see green to well, i will run SCNR on it.

The use of SCNR improved it a lot, but on my monitor the background now looks blue (which of course, is more natural).

BTW, did you rotate the image 90 degrees?

We see a lot of widefield M42s but not so many 'close-ups' like this - I like this view.

Thanks wim, maybe i should just take the blue channel down a teeny weeny bit? the image has had no rotation applied.
