A couple of images from last night. Seeing was about 4/10 at best with trans deteriorating.

Auto Dob 250 & ASI224MC + 2x Ultima, extension tube & ZWO ADC :

The 23:17 image looks slightly sharper Stuart, still both are commendable images for 4/10 seeing. Very nice colour balance also.

here. I see U were using a 2x Barlow

& ext tube. What f/l did this give U.  Your

Dob,  seems to perform very well.  A faster

scope, does seem to pull out more detail.

Thanks Steve according to firecapture the FL was just under 5 metres which is about f19. 

The aperture is the key rather than speed. After all when Barlows are added the speed is just the same. 

I should add these images have been upscaled 150%.

Hi Stuart. @  5 meters, I would be @ f25 which is a bit much

for a 8" scope. Going to treat my self, to a bigger scope.

Got a permanent set up now, so no lugging gear about.

That is Y I got the CPC 800.  Been a good,  portable

workhorse.  Now for something bigger.

Be patient, when the seeing co-operates, the ASI224MC and ADC are a great combo.
