My New Ob First Light

Hi all

My new observatory has arrived from pulsar observatory,s.

And now up and running I had my first night observing for a long time the other night

Do you need planning permission for something that size?

No you don't need planning permission it's like having a shed it's just one with a scope in it.

I've always thought that there is something rather special/romantic even  about an observatory photographed in snow - lovely picture.  Cracking setup - hope you have plenty clear nights ahead.

Very nice, especially the equipment extension bay.

Do you run things from inside the dome, or from that shed, or the house?

How do you avoid falling into the pool in the dark?

Very nice. I keep eyeing one of those. The green ones look good I think. I wonder too whether the green might stand out less obviously as an observatory.

I went for green because of the reason you say it does not stand out.

I had to wait a while for it but well worth it.

I would have liked two pods but I haven't got room.

I nearly bought a sky pod and read all reviews on them not good reading .
