Nice views. Hoping my new 120mm refractor when it arrives next week can give me some good views too. Which reminds me, I'll need to make up another solar filter to fit the new scope, so need to order another sheet up!

Charl, how do you persuade Registax to stack an image like that?

I tried putting alignment points on the active regions and around the edges but it just blurred the sunspots. I had to stack my pic manually.

thanks Neil, its on default setting,alinement box 15, max movement 5, the wavelet setting is default and i just move the sliders untill i get what i like and the save the settings to use nexttime, the only times it dont work is when theres too much cloud on my images or if theres too much movement in the stills. i hope ive been helpfull,clear skys  charl.

I put those settings in, and it got a bit better, but still not right :-( I struggle to understand how Registax works... I tend to change the numbers until I get a good result but I'm, not sure what most of the controls actually do :-)

Had some Sun early yesterday Charl, so grabbed some white light data. I was out for the entire rest of the day (trip to Wembley to see the NFL) and back at work this morning, so I have not had chance to look at the data yet. Should get it processed tonight. Back to doom and gloom today
