From the Netherlands

After being inactive for years in this field I picked it up again some time ago. Bought myself an easy to carry maksutov and put my very nice Fujinon binoculairs on a tripod. It is still a very enjoyable hobby and I am delighted to see how many people are active and sharing information. I am not very fortunate with the lights around my house and that is one of the reasons i did not buy large heavy stuff.

Welcome to the best astronomy forum on the planet Geitejager.

Once experienced, astronomy stays in the soul. Those who stop usually return.

I hope you enjoy it on SGL.

Ron.

Rawhead and all the others. Thanks for the warm welcome. The skies in the Netherlands can be quite good and i am happy to live in the darker eastern areas. The western parts are most of the time terrible. Main irratation is: lampposts, lasershows, illuminated billboards ggrrrr.
