Solar white light - 7th August

Here are a couple of single shots using my Canon 1000D in the Tak FC-100, Baader Herschel Wedge and continuum filter. I think they were at 1/800 or 1/1000th shutter speed and 400 ISO. Just focused with live view and taken using a cable release.

I got them onto my iPhone and then did a little tweaking in PS Express including converting to mono and a couple of crops.

Nothing fancy, in fact a bit quick and dirty but shows the active region ok.

Thanks all. Yes David it's a big old thing isn't it. Detail visually is stunning when the seeing settles for a moment or two. Pretty bobbly most of the time unfortunately. Perhaps it will calm down this evening a little
