I'm Dale, from rural Essex in the UK. I'm very new to astronomy having just bought a celestron reflector 130eq, although I've always been interested! Any tips etc would be wonderful

Hello Dale,

Welcome to SGL and to 2015.  You'll find the answers to most, if not all, your questions (astro related of course!) within these hallow'd walls.  You have a well known astro photographer based not far from you, he is very proud of his achievements from his home location too as I recall. Also, if you haven't already done so, be sure to find a free piece of software called "Stellarium" - it won't help with photography (much) but is a great tool for use in astronomy.
