Hello all,

It is my first time here and from what I have read this site is absolutely great. Thanks for all your knowledge shared here. Central London is not the best place on Earth for stargazing, but who knows once I will be courageous enough (and have the time) to pack my telescopes in my old car and find somewhere nice and dark (suggestions accepted) to do some proper stargazing and know the true potential of my toys. I have a 250 Skywatcher Dobsonian and a Celestron Omni XLT120 on a CG4 mount.

Keep in touch, and a good, clear skies for you all.

Paulo.

Hi Paulo welcome to the lounge

Nice kit. L P is the bane of this wonderful hobby,

and cloud is even worse,

but when the sky's are clear there is so much

to observe. Enjoy!

Good Luck and Clear Sky's

Hi Paulo

Welcome to the SGL.

Which is best for you to get to, north or south of the river?

It does not matter: I am two minutes away from the river. I am a priest in Westminster Cathedral, so it is very central.

Thanks for the welcoming and Clear Skies for you.

I concentrate mostly on the very bright objects, but i still want to get somewhere dark to try my toys properly and see their full potential. Until then...Thanks for the welcoming and clear skies......
