Celestron Astromaster 70AZ undriven Altaz mounted 70mm achromat refractor.

Imaged afocal @ magx60 with 15mm plossl EP & handheld Samsung D900 phone.

I tried doing some afocal with the Intes on the Moon but the focus was impossible to get. Visually though.... :love4:

That's a great picture. I always assume cell phone cameras aren't very good but I guess technology is moving at such a rate even cell phone cameras are getting quite high spec - well done.

You should send your pics to the phone manufacturer. You never know you may get a bundle of freebies or have your image as part of the future advertising.

I would say that this image is better than the usual stuff you get in the phone's user manual or on the side of the box.

Heh, the little Celestron Astromaster 70mm AZ scope was just £32 (including delivery) brand new off fleabay, and the phone was free.
