Been clear all day in Nottingham

Gets dark but have to take daughter swimming and put her to bed at 19:15. At long last an opportunity for some proper observing and AP!!

Gets out, gets tripod and mount out. Uh-oh, what's that on the Western horizon? CLOUD. Totally clouded over !!!! :mad:

Ironically, it was clear between Stargazing Live and Stargazing - You're Fired, but after the programme finished it was cloud cover again.

sticking with the code of conduct i shall not swear . but after leaving the scope out to cool while watching sg live ,looking foward to an hour or two out with a new e/p. i find i had little more than two minutes to grab a view of jupiter .it was the only object visible !! the orange glow and moisture was horrendous. im soooo fed up. :mad: :mad:

Same conditions here in Skipsea as you.

There is some clear sky,but cloud as well,difficult to call,and as it gets later and later ,my enthusiasm wains.

Same same in Port Talbot, managed 30 mins on Jupiter then family emergency dragged me off to Cardiff

Just arrived home from a 6 hour long Baker Street Irregular Astronomers meeting in Regents Park, with only the ocassional cloud intruding until gone 11pm when it got a little more patchy.

Yep, London looked lovely and clear when I flew back in last night. Could even see Orion through the glare above Heathrow whilst defrosting the car!!
