I have been processing this image for ages trying different methods and software. I think this is as much as I will get out of it. Any comments or criticism appreciated.

Canon 7D (unmodded) with Canon 500mm f/4 L IS @ f/4, ISO 1600.

Astrotrac TT320 mount.

60 x 60 second Lights

25 x Bias

25 x Darks

25 x Flats

Taken near Horncastle in Lincolnshire

Well done! Very nice capture. Much better than my first attempt. Especially as I lost half of the galaxy off the bottom of the frame! :undecided: I mean, I ask you...how can you loose half a galaxy! :grin::rolleyes2:

If my third attempt is half as good as that I will be a very happy boy! Again, well done. That is something to be proud of.

Its getting better and better 3rd time luck, lol,

You can drive yourself bonkers with processing, it is an art in itself

and most objects need differnent processing skills and with the english

weather it can take years to get really good at it, this is a very nice image

and nicely processed .

well done.
