M42 between the clouds

Just managed 20 actual minutes on Friday night between the clouds..

not bad but I really want a wider field for this target, I'm thinking about the new 2013 WO ED 71 as its 400mm and reduced with my Televue will be 330mm @ f/4.72!

so I'll re visit it when/if the weather plays ball..

Amazing! I was looking at M42 tonight through my binos, absolutely stunning and can;t wait to view it again through a scope hopefully!

Its not pretty at 20minutes. ... needs at least 1 - 2 hours worth..

One last bash with noise reduction and some Noel Carboni's - Local contrast Enhancement .ATN in photoshop.

Not bad for 10 subs cant wait to get 2 hours on it..

Thats a really nice image for just 20 minutes, another 2 or 3 hours imaging time should turn this into a real cracker!

Really nice shot there, unfortunatley for me this one is only in 'my line of sight' for about an hour as it is so low as well but i will get it one day.
