Just thought I would introduce myself to you. I've been interested in astronomy since I was at school and now at the grand old age of 57 I've still got the bug. I'm from Belper in Derbyshire and I've got reasonable skies down the garden though the group I'm in meet up in the Peak District and the skies up there are unbelievable. I prefer deep sky stuff rather than planets and I like to manually search rather than 'goto'. I did have a Meade etx105 when they first came out but I sold it after about 10 months. I've recently got into variables which is fun.
