Hello

Casus belli

Recommended Posts

Greetings from bonnie Scotland. 1st time poster, although I've read enough of your forums to realise I'm going to like it here.

I'm 40 somethingish years old married and work offshore on a 28 days on 28 days off rotation. Been interested in astronomy since I was knee high to a haggis. I really caught the bug last year when my dear wife finally caved in to my demands and agreed to a Meade etx 90. I found the scope good if limited but the goto was a pain. Recently after more incessant nagging I took proud possesion of a 10" Meade lightbridge and so condemned the entire U.K to a summer of rain.

I've had two nights out with the scope and I love it. I was out on weds and saw for the 1st time the ring nebulae, the dumbell nebulae and m71. M71 was in fact an accident I stumbled across it looking for m27.

I'm glancing hopefully at weather forecast for tonight and I'm planning on a dark sky night of viewing as opposed to my usual out in the back garden cursing the light pollution.
