Hi All,

First light with my new Lyra Optic 150mm f/8 and Baader Cool-Ceramic Herschel Wedge. Fitted 8mm Baader Hyperion, then T ring and then Canon 7D DSLR. Whole lot on SkyTee2 mount, so hand tracking. Single shot at ISO100 and 1/400sec.

I'm very happy with this setup. Once my DMK41 arrives, I'll be even happier. :)

Cheers

Ian

I assume the wedge has stopped smoking!!

Excellent results!!

I'm sitting over here in cloudy, wet Belgium with a wedge sitting on the "Big Yin" - a SW 150/1200 - just waiting on some clear weather....

You'll find the DMK41 a great camera for solar! (Get some practise in building mosaics!)

*Shucks* thanks everyone. :)

Ken,

Wet here too. Oh for that lovely week we had in March again. Yep, the wedge is still smoking while on Big Bertha (the 150mm f/8), but no where near as much as when I first tried it

Rik,

Next clear day, pop over, or meet somewhere, and have a go with the wedge.

Sheri,

I hope so. Unboxed the DMK and tested it today. Hope to use in anger as soon as I get more than 5 minutes of sunshine.

Cheers

Ian
