HI, I'd like to introduce myself.

My name is Ryan, I'm 30, just got a Meade ETX 125 and I'm looking to learn more on how to use it. I don't have any extra eyepieces yet so if you have any recommendations that wont break the bank please let me know.

The last time I looked through a telescope I was about 5 years old when my mother's boyfriend at the time had a nice one.

I don't remember much from way back then, but the stars everything above has interested me a lot more since then.

Hi Ryan and welcome to SGL.

Nice scope. There is a good post in the Beginners Help and Advice section called Eyepieces-the very least you need which is worth reading. I' m sure someone will be along soon who could advise you as to which eyepieces work well with your Mak and that won't break the bank.

Hi Ryan and welcome to SGL, for the ETX you could do no better than have a look at Weasner`s Mighty ETX web sight, there is a wealth of info about the scopes on there. To help with finding your way about the sky download the free program Stellarium if you haven`t already done it, enjoy your scope :blob10:
